Twenty tradesmen die in the UK every week as a result of asbestos exposure.  Anyone working on buildings constructed before asbestos prohibition in November 1999 could come into contact with asbestos and disturb it as they go about their work, inhaling asbestos fibres and risking fatal respiratory diseases in the future.
The Control Of Asbestos Regulations 2012 requires that any such workers undertake regular Asbestos Awareness Training so that they understand the health risks, can recognise common asbestos materials, and know how to protect themselves and others.
M&W’s online Asbestos Awareness Training means that you and your workers can undertake the training at your convenience so you don’t have to arrange costly group training sessions.  At the end of the course, there is a short multiple answer test to ensure the main points of the training have been understood, and if successful a Certificate of Training is issued valid for one year.  Our system will then email the delegate in 11 months as a reminder to refresh the training.
